Elopak and the Climate
Elopak is member of the WWF Climate Savers to actively fight the global climate changes.
Carbon emissions are not only changing the climate. They are also changing how we do business. As the fight against climate change takes centre stage in world politics, businesses are increasingly responding to changing sentiment by adopting aggressive policies to reduce carbon footprints.
In 2008 Elopak signed a cooperation agreement with WWF Norway. In so doing, Elopak pledged to the world that it would reach the target of reducing its greenhouse gas emissions by 15% by end 2010. In 2008, Elopak became the first Norwegian industrial group to be named a WWF Climate Saver. Climate Savers is the WWF action plan to partner leading corporations with ambitious targets to voluntarily reduce emissions.
